perfect.

status check - wistful
background ambiance - voicemail love from dc

the one song i missed hearing at boston was "0% interest" - that is, the one song i'd noticed on setlists for the tour i was surprised/bummed to not find in the orpheum setlist.

i never said a word about it, yet paul magically knows to leave me nearly three minutes of that song from dar.

i sang along to the "our house," too. :)

xoxoxoxoxo

***edit: heard through the rkop grapevine that he pulled "older lover" off the shelf - if this is correct A) i'm giddy for paul and B) i'm cursing not having been able to go.***

I love you my friend. I really do. Sometimes the pressure of the world and the people in it is a burden...a beautiful beautiful burden. I realize that may not make sense, but right about now I need a hug (majorly) and sharing my feelings with you feels like an electronic hug.
Sorry for the randomness, it's a short, but long story about a couple of current friend relationships in my life that I'll be happy to share with you (and un-confuse you with) sometime. For right now, I just needed to say that to someone that I think will understand.
Now, about last night. Fucking A man! What a great show. Yes, I literally *squealed* straight up Vickie style when I realized he was intro-ing Older Lover. I even said to my friend that used my second ticket, "if I could have chosen one request for the show this would have been it!" I was super happy. Of course, I did see him play it at Iota a million years ago, but to hear it again, and in the 'back to his roots' acoustic style (sans 7-piece band) I was stoked to say the least.
I'm glad you enjoyed the voicemail love.
I will talk to you soon!!!

i wish i could be there to give you a hug in person. but i hope the electronic hug you gave when you wrote that helped - as well as the e-hug you're getting right now.

i definitely understand what you were saying. and yes, i would love to be able to hear what's been on your mind, depending on what you're up to this weekend, call? i'm working sunday (bah), but will be around (cleaning apartment and other oh so fun things) all day tomorrow.

i knew you'd been wanting to hear that song again - which is why i was so exicted to read about it ... and even more amused to read that you squealed straight-up-me-style. that rocks. as did the voicemail - thank you so much.

i love and miss you lots - what are you up to in late june? up for a visit?

love!
